 3MB W712 Roadie, 100% Black(one white front ankle) Boer Buck. THIS IS A BOTTLE BABY THAT WE have decided to use for breeding. We normally do not keep bottle babies males intact as buck prospects, but this one we had to make a exception. We think this young buckling is looking very promising. We took all precautions not to make a big pet out of this buckling. We tried to stick to the bottle feeding at hand, and not do any petting and playing with him. We bottle fed him for 3 months. Think of how easy hoof trimming and vaccinations will be??(SMILE) And they are too! He comes up when he hears my voice, but he does not jump up on me or push on me. If you go out in the pen with him,you would never guess he was a bottle baby.  His mother died right after she gave birth to him. His mother was one of the 4 original very dark headed traditional Does we bought from Troy Powell, that carry the black genetics.  We really hated to lose this large framed Rooster Ennobled bred  Doe, as she was a excellent producer for us.  Check out his pedigree. We have also decided this buck might be a good addition to our spotted breeding program since he has a very prominate red spot on his right side. We are anxious to start using this buck to see what we get spot wise. Decided to expose three spotted Phantom daughters to Roadie for Winter 2009 kidding. 100% Black & white spotted Boer Buck, LOGAN HILL PHANTOM OF THE FARM. We are planning to add this buck to our breeding program Spring of 2008. First picture is Phantom at 2 years of age, the second picture shows some of his Doelings that were born to non spotted Does. The third picture shows two of his son's that were also offspring of non spotted mothers. It's our goal to help improve on the quality, size and structure of these spotted Boer goats.  Thank you David and Carla Lyons, Middle Fork Farms, in Beatttyville, KY, for the opportunity to purchase these black/white spotted genetics.
